DynaLiners Daily - SM Line to Portland, Oregon
This December, SM Line of South Korea will add the US West Coast port of Portland (Oregon) to the itinerary of its Pacific Northwest Service (PNS). For this port, it is a major gain, since all its container customers left a few years ago due to labour problems. This announcement comes days after the Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) was fined USD 93 million for damages caused by work slowdowns there (DL 46/19). The extended route of PNS reads: Busan, Kwangyang, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland and back to Busan.
