DynaLiners Daily - PIL brushing up, selling ships
To brush up its balance sheet, PIL is in the process of selling its subsidiary Pacific Direct Line (PDL) to US-based Wonderful Corporation. The latter company is the owner of Neptune Pacific Line (operator of three ships), which at its turn is 50% owner of Pacific Forum Line (one single ship). Pacific Direct Line operates five ships of between 500 and 1,000 TEU in South Pacific trades.
In addition to the above, PIL (Pacific International Line) has reportedly sold (or what is left of it) six of its total ten 11,900 TEU ULCS, of which two to Wan Hai (its previous Transpacific partner) and four to non-operating Seaspan.
